Come quack up and be a part of the second annual Run the River 5K, sponsored by Fit Body Boot Camp, and hosted by the Cross Timbers Rotary Club. This exciting new course and festival is all part of the Rhythms at the River Walk charity event!! Participants receive a duck adoption and the chance to be a $2,500 Grand Prize Duck Derby Winner. All proceeds are used to empower our area's incredible non-profits (many of which will be there too!).
This awesome new race course takes you around the beautifully developed River Walk in Flower Mound and ends at the site of the exciting 2nd Annual Cross Timbers Rotary Duck Derby event, Rhythms at the River Walk. Participants receive a Run the River shirt, chip timer on race bib, one duck adoption for the Derby, pre and post race refreshments - and also the joy of knowing that every entry is helping raise critical funds to empower our area's incredible non-profits! Cross the finish line with a special duck-themed finisher beaded necklace and celebrate your race with an awards ceremony that will immediately follow.
The 5K course is USATF certified and will be timed by Cox Racing Services.
After the run, stay for a quacking good time at the Family Friendly River Walk starting at 10:30 am. This is a great event for a casual, scenic approximate 1-mile stroll along the water. Registrants of this event will also receive a shirt and one duck adoption for the Derby. Dress your ducky best and enjoy the glorious morning with your family and friends.
But the duck doesn't stop there - the festivities continue throughout the day with children's activities, arts and crafts vendors, non-profit showcase, music, food trucks, and the AMAZING Duck Derby experience. Grand Prize for the Duck Derby winner is $2,500!!! You don't want to miss this event!

1:00 pm - Duck Derby Launch!
After the ducks complete their river voyage, the celebration and events continue making this a day you will truly remember!
